Tweaking your juice

March 2nd, 2014

We’re almost to spring! I can feel the change in the air. Longer days and more sunlight. Next week the temperatures look almost balmy. I think I saw a 29 degree day in the forecast! IMG_1248

With the change of season coming up, I always like to change other things in my life. Shift my wardrobe from black to color, move furniture, change the kind of hand soap we use, and of course (!) change the flavor of my juices. Small simple changes make a huge difference. I really like all of my juice bases. They have good foundations, but sometimes I like to play with flavor. A few tips for changing it up a bit:

~add cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice to root base juices (carrot/beet)

~add a bit of stevia. A little goes a long way.

~add lemon

~change lemon to lime

~turmeric adds a fun flavor

~lemon and ginger can drastically change the flavor of anything

~play around with different spices

~add jalapeno, cilantro or both.

Have fun and play around with your flavors!!!
